Cannot delete bunch of mails on E71

Hi,

I received a load of emails from a colleague. There was somthing clearly wrong with his email as it sent the same meeting request 200+ times. I have deleted all the entries but when I synch the e71 the mail messgaes remain. Other email messages all delete without a problem. Any ideas ?
