Nokia did not develop the fax software. This has been mentioned over and over. The software may not even be available for the E90.

Dear sir,

I purshased a nokia E90 communicator on 1/9/07
from the MOBILE STORE-ESSAR-VIRGIN (nungambakam, chennai, india).
costing Rs 36,499.

But after using 2 days itself i am facing the problem of less battery hour-
LESS THEN 1 HOUR TALK TIME
&LESS THAN 36 HOUR STANDBY TIME.

Pls let me know what should i do.

Surely it is safer not to post your IMEI.

Do you have BT and WIFI always ON?

Let us know.

Sync every 15 minutes
Min 1 hour conversation.
Play with AGENDA, ...

End of day : Battery indicator is still full.

E90 has also some positive aspects

Well. If someone is not happy after four day's, he / she has every right to sell the product I think.. Not everyone likes to install 3rd party sw for every single need. At least now, when these were in device installed, ready to be used at starters with older versions..

It ain't very usable, if you need to locate punch of 3rd party sw before you can be happy with your mobile. It's a good business for some, but why should end users be happy with this?

E90 might be great, but not out of the box solution anymore. You need to search updates and better sw all the time. Some like that, some don't.

Still, I think, E90 is quite top of the line with mobiles. Just now there are also other choises without bigger differences. So no extra in E90 vs other products..

What computer is ready to buy out of the box? None. All have to have extras. If you know anything about licensing, you will know that S80 is not S60 so the old S80 software no longer works. Second, the same software that was on the older models may no longer be availible or want such high licensing fees that Nokia will not pay them. S60 offers more software and price ranges regarding this software.

Yes, i don't comment reasons why all good 'old communicator' features are dropped. From user point of view, label in device is Nokia. Out of the box solution provided by Nokia. If users are or are not happy, who to blame or thank? Of cource the company putting the label for device.

But ok, we can blame also Symbian. It can't provide good applications anymore with reasonable price? Of cource simple solutions are better business in mass production.

If we see, S60 has been most simple Symbian platform? S90 and S80 were better in every way. Both are now (80&90) history and S60 rules. Why? Simplest and cheapest production, more money when less development cost?

I just wonder why now S80 & S90 are too expencive, when those were already developed. Up and running, ready to serve more devices. Now same have to be implemented to s60. Was it next year S60 will have touch display? Let's just wait is it better then S90 use to be:

The brand Nokia is THE reason why I choosed the E90 rather than HTC box !
And the price it was sold was also, for me, a proof of the quality put inside. "Domdom you are stupid !"

I am using E90 and synchronizing it with my PC contact book in Microsoft outlook. The PC contact book may have same number stored more than once.

Now, when I get an incoming call from the number, which is stored more than once under different names, there is no name displayed on the screen and only the number is shown.

Please suggest what I should do to get the name displayed for the number already stored in the contact book.


Also, I am used to get the full screen picture view of the contacts stored with pictures. Please suggest a 3rd part s/ware for getting same view in E90

Delete duplicates! Check sync settings also.. You can't change anything to view names with duplicate numbers..

If number search were not dropped, it would be easy to delete duplicates using contacts app But that is gone.

The N95 8GB is best from series 60 as a multimedia device from series 60.
The E90 is from series 60 too.
No need.

Anything can be added to S60, I am sure, including all functions dropped from 9300i. Nokia only has to bother. So far, they did not with e90. But I am keeping my fingers crossed for the FW update.

Yes. S60 devices are full of promises, but really nothing great available. Still been there for longest period? As long as S80. I would need S80 or S90 series, as those were best from Symbian.

Still no luck opening office files received from N9500? Hmhh.. Should be Ok just sending via BT and opening.
