I've had an E55 for a few weeks and am generally very pleased with it. My wifi connection to my home router is now

not working properly, although it was fine up to a few days ago. the E55 finds the network and connects to it, but it will not download

any data, either through the web browser or theseaparately installed internet radio application.i have two other wifi receivers which

are both working normally.

Any suggestions please?

What errors do you get?

With internet radio I get something like "station not available" or "connection timed out". With the web browser it's just a blank page.

In both cases I'm definitely connected to the WLAN - as evidenced by both indicators on the device and a light on my router.

Turn off the power saving in the advanced settings of WLAN.

Thinking further about this, the effect is that I can connect to the WLAN but not the internet.

I have just tried uninstalling the internet radio app. That didn't help either.

This could also be a router issue. Check WLAN settings or reset the router.

Restarting the router did the trick. Glad it was something simple. Thanks!

I've got the same problem and I'm not convinced that your router is the issue! I had connected in the same time, 2 laptops and my E55 to one Lynksys router and only my E55 showed this issue.

I think E55 fails to renew it's session to Wi-Fi router ... Specially when you become active again, after some silence time(idle). Restarting your router just force the E55 to start a new fresh session.

Got the same problem too cant seem to get my E55 to work on my wifi at home, my E71 works fine, my BB Bold also works fine - 

I get the following message after connection "Invalid server name" the same also happens at my office....

Pls anyone with solution....

Internet Connection Sharing might be a solution. It's quite easy on a W 7 PC.

i set up a new wireless net work and tried to connect to internet . it shows invalid server name . i could  connect to the computer  (only to connect not to see files in the computer ) . what will be the problem

Your PC or laptop needs a cable connection to the internet accesspoint and you need to enable WiFi on the PC and phone and allow other networks to connect to internet.

i am tried as u say (as i see in the website of the link) but i could not . the problem getting when i share my internet . if i try to share my internet , i will lose my internet connection of my computer also .  i am attaching one  picture pls see

Looking at the picture I see that you didn't enable the wireless Atheros adapter. Maybe Connectify can help you out. Works great for me.

If Nokia phone says "invalid server name" this means, it did not receive the IP of a working DNS-server via DHCP.

It means that the url can't be translated to an IP address by the DNS server.
