Hi i am using the E6-00 more than a month Now . But i m not Satisifed with the product .

Its Getting Restatred automatically when my call is in progress. It on Idle mode it shows and error "WSERV logging error number.257"

the touch screen automatically stop working and somtimes the keypads then i need to Restart it again 

The Network Autmotically gone and then i need search it from the Setting again and again .

I am really frustated as i m an old Nokia User have Used N-GAGe , E63 and now E6 .

Kindly help me out 

I have already gone twice to the Customer Care they are just reloading the Belle Operating system Bt the problem is still there

I have almost the same problem. Phone hangs with the WSERV... notice on the screen. The only thing I can do is to restart the phone.

Same error here every now and then, keypad is not working properly after error and reboot is needed to fix. This is only issue for me this far, no automatic reboots etc. here.

What SW version do you have in the phone? Are you initiating the call from WhatsApp application or phone contacts application?

Same issue in our company : about 10 Nokia E6 devices.

Most users have reported the error.

In a few cases the device hangs completely until reboot.

Happens with the latest SW installed (111.140.0058).

We do not use WhatsApp.

We like to see this issue resolved, cause the phone model is very good otherwise.

I have the same. I am very disappointed with E6 after having E72 for a long time. Lot's of bugs which are in many cases rendering the phone useless for normal use. 

the WSERV logging error number. 257 appears in such situations:

* somebody is calling me (incoming call), and as soon as the call starts ringing or I unlock the phone to answer it, the WSERV logging error appears and I cannot answer the phone

* I start writing SMS, and after adding few characters the error pops up on every key press and I cannot enter sms contents. 

What I was expecting from E-6 against old E-72 is NO NEW FUNCTIONS but only improved stability. I was looking forward to Nokia stopping development of SYMBIAN and concentrating on finally making existing things work. 

Instead I have obtained a phone full of new bugs (they call it features) and completely destroyed user interface (in calendar you can see only.... 2 hours, on a main screen you can see only a few icons etc.)

Same error here, pops up only after unlocking the keypad&screen. No restart required, it doesn't seem to have any effect on the functionality of the phone, but still very annoying.

Still no bug fix?

hi mate,

have you checked if there are any firmware updates available for your device via Nokia Suite? if there are any, please update to the latest version offered. failing that, try re-installing your current firmware thru Nokia Suite. should this not work, perform a three-finger hard reset, but backup all personal data to PC and/or online storage first.

I have the same problem with my E6. The error notice appears randomly. You never know when you will see it. And then It's impossible to make a call.

I have the latest firmware. No strange apps installed. Pure Belle.

I am tired with this phone.

What is the error message? Since you have the latest version for the phone, have you tried re-installing the software using Nokia Suite?

The error is exactly the same as in the first post: "WSERV logging error number.257".

Yes, my phone is updated to the latest fw version and yes, I have reinstalled the fw twice by myself and once by a authorised service personnel. Nothing has changed. The phone keeps hanging with this error.

Any other ideas ?
