E6 PROBLEM, pls help!

I hope someone can help me with this problem because I have no idea how to fix it :smileysad: Since yesterday the problem is "Disk error - cannot complete write. Retry or data will be lost" ???? I used my phone as usual, and suddenly this appeared over and over again. Does anybody knows why and what can I do about it? Please help!

@Rena1701

What happens if you remove microSDHC memory card from device as this may be corrupted?

Re: E6 PROBLEM, pls help!

Hello,

Here is what I have and what I have tried.

Phone: Nokia 808

Memory card: SanDisk 32 Gb Class 10 (SD of course) -- Bought new from BestBuy for a hefty price.

Tried:

1st step -- formatted via 808 worked fine. Then this random message popped up of "disk error cannot complete write retry or data will be lost"

If I restart the phone -- reseat the memory card -- it seems to work alright. It must be the housing for the memory card as sometimes when I restart, it won't display any contents in file manager.

Try this:

Copy any essential data to your pc

Restart phone.

Go to file manager and see if any files show up. If not try reseating the card and really make sure that the card sticks in there. The way the memory card holder is designed is not very good.

I will keep you appraised if I find a more permanent solution.

Re: E6 PROBLEM, pls help!

The same happens with my Nokia 808 Italy and a 32GB SanDisk MicroSDHC, class 10.

Music player cannot find any track in the memory; sometimes the MicroSD can be accessed via File manager and files can be opened, sometimes it is not found at all. Sometimes the phone gets stuck and the battery must be removed (it only happens with the MicroSD inside).

Please Nokia do something for us, this problem must be solved, our 808s are taking a step towards uselessness if we cannot even use officially supported MicroSD cards as storage.
