E65 orange reception problem

Hi,

Please can someone help me, my E65 reception flicks between full reception to only 2-3 bars or less in a few seconds without me moving. The orange shop have said as usual that it's a phone issue and needs to be repaired. Does this sound right or has the Orange reception got worse. I live in Worthing West Sussex Area.

Thanks

Re: E65 reception problem

Hi i have been told by Orange that there is a fault with the E65 series phone aerial, but Nokia will not admit that there is a fault. Orange said that they would charge me £15 to send it off for repair and it would come back with no fault. They also said that it would have to be sent off 3 times before they will replace it. Has anyone had a simular problem with this handset? I am unsure what to do.
Thanks

Re: E65 reception problem

Orange are doing their usual trick of blaming the manufacturer.

It's most likely the signal in your area. You need to try your phone in a different area to find out for sure if it's the phone or network. It's usually orange's dodgy 3G signal that causes the trouble.

If it is the phone thats at fault do not pay orange to fix it. A nokia care point will fix it for free whilst it is covered by nokia's 2 year European warranty.
