I recently changed my good old N97 by an E7.
Generally speaking I am very pleased by my new smartphone with one big exception:
I personally find the E7 calendar much less clearly arranged than the N97- one.
In the month- layout the N97- calendar showed me some details for the highlighted day.
This was very useful as it allowed for a at a glance view of the month and the chosen day.

I would already be happy to be able to roll back to a N97- calendar on my E7!

Is there a way to uninstall the E7 calendar and to replace it by a N97- one on my E7??

Or is there a more suitable calendar applet for the E7?

Any help would much be appreciated!

Hi there!

You can't simply install the N97 calendar. There is an application called Business Calendar available in Ovi Store which is quite decent, you can check out the free trial.

Also the next software update, Symbian Anna, contains quite some improvements on the built-in calendar. Anna is expected to arrive within the next two weeks. So you can try out Business Calendar for now and check out the changed Anna calendar later on.

Hi masurcn. The next firmware release for the E7 (Symbian Anna) has the functionality you describe restored.

I have no idea when it will be available though......

So I will wait for the Anna release of the E7 firmware.

my E7 firmware is belle FP3 (111.010.1511.37.01).

how do i post in the calendar yearly repeat event, say mothers' day, fathers' day, grandparents' day and thanksgiving day?

the calendar does not have a facility to repeat yearly events, say every second day of may or every last thursday of november.

i tried to post these events in Outlook which has facility, but when i sync to my E7 (using nokia suite 3.6.63), the E7 calendar changes the event into monthly (unlike in Outlook which is yearly).

my previous 9500 can do it. pc suite can do it.

please help!

Business Calendar is buggy and not good by today's standards.
