Hello!

 

I've just got an E7 and started to set it up. When the option to transfer the address book from another Nokia phone was chosen, the phone simply died. It doesn't turn on anymore, the light does not appear when the charging cable in plugged in, and, well, it's overall not responsive.

 

It's quite a frustrating experience to not be able to use the new phone. Please help me with this!

Hi Serpentia,

 

Welcome to the Nokia Forums!

 

Have you tried plugging it into your PC to see if it is detected?

I suggest you return it to the retailer to receive a replacement device as soon as possible.

Yes, I have tried. Still dead :smileysad:. Also, pressing the ON/OFF button for longer doesn't help. Is there any other combination of keys that could elicit a response? Otherwise, I'll send it back soon. It's a pitty.

Leave the phone for charging for 15-20 minutes and then keeping the charger connected see if it switches ON..

Not, then try the reset mentioned in this thread ...

If this also doesn't work, you need to visit Nokia Care...
