Hello all,
I've been for 2 years with a branded firmware... so far, so good, everything worked as it should, most of the time at least.
The firmware release was a 031. and being now at 081 I was thinking if it wasn't the time to replace the product code and upgrade (with brand it was blocked).
I have a couple of question about it and need some reassurance before going on..
Is it worth the hassle? Does the new firmware adds something really worth? They say If it ain't broke don't fix it..
I have some paid apps that I'd like not to lose. How is the procedure here? The upgrade does it all?
Any suggestion is really appreciated.
Thanks
Franco

Unfortunately Nokia decline to publish changelog for each update so importance of certain applications may have more relevance to you. Whereas you should be able to re-download paid for content from Nokia Store under 10 x limit, applications have a horrid habit of disappearing from Store although can be mitigated if installed to memory card in the first place and backing up phone content settings to there.
Although v054.005 was relatively minor it improved camera auto-focus.
v071.004 was quite large:
New features and applications:
Twitter Launcher Widget
Here & Now 2.0
Emoticons
Internet Search / Google Search 1.0
Main updates to existing features:
Ovi Store 2.6
Maps 3.0 (SR4)
IM Chat 2.0 (V2.0.23)
Browser 7.3
As emoticons now set in firmware, you may find this feature annoying upon business device.
Think 081.003 was mainly bug fixes and Bluetooth connectivity issues restored at least upon mine.

Thank you very much. I'll check carefully if my most worth apps are still there..
Just a thing more, what about the usual "performance and usability improvements"? Are they for true?
