I have a few problem with this phone :

- ovi syn. ( contacts,calendar, notes) don't work

- nokia email works when wonts( few times I changed the settings)

- maps (to catch a fix from satellites takes ages even agps is on)

before that phone I had 2 phones from nokia E series .Both of them when wont I can format or hard reset ( using the three fingers method)was no problem.

Unfortunately users have been very reticent about confirming three key power on reset for E5 (beware all data lost) but as red key takes place of power key is it perhaps (*)(3)(green) whilst pressing red until Nokia shaking hands log appears?

As a similar S60 3rd FP2 device to the E72 it may however follow this later different three key format.

I tray that way and that from e 72 with space+ shift + backspace but still nothing.

I tray also reinstall soft bay ovi but that nothing changes.

You can format the E5 by typing *#7370# in standby mode. Before the device is reset, you may need to provide the lock code. The default lock code is 12345.

*#7370# is perfect code to format your nokia e serise phone memory. But remove your sim otherwise your cotact will erase

Unfortunately three key reset combination for E5 has never been established, so you would need to visit Nokia Care with proof of purchase for lock code to be returned to factory default 12345.
