- Notificat.light is set to ‘1h’ and checked both ‘Missed call’ and ‘New message’

By the way, where should notification light be appear on phone? (center button?)

When there is message or missed call, I cannot see any light come up on any part of phone.

Is it a bug?

But, I already did turn it 'on'

When there is missed call or message, no blinking light on my phone at all. Not sure what's wrong with my phone?

You are right: the first ones delivered by Nokia Online Shop here in Italy (mine amongst them) have this issue, too.

You can hardly tell if it's working or not!!

Who knows if it's a hardware or a software issue??

In the meantime, I'm starting telling this to several Symbian-dedicated websites in order to make Nokia move itself and tell us what to do.

I am in Germany and I get my E6 directly from Nokia this week.

The problem is, that the notification light is very very dark - but you can see it works if you put your phone in a dark room or watch it in night !

We can only hope, that nokia can fix this with a software update .....

yes, the light is only visible in the VERY VERY DARK room.

this is minor defect on phone, we cannot know whether there are message/missed call or not.

Nokia need to fix!!!!

We have replicated the issue and it has been forwarded onwards to R&D.

The notification light is indeed working, but is far too dim.

yes the notification light is was there, i can see there's 2 problem there,

1) light was too dim

2) it was surrounded and 'burried' deep inside by that D- pad directional key which is higher than the center key. and you can only tell if there's light when you look(carefully) straight from the top...

This is a design flaw and you guys at QC/R&D didn't even check it... i want my money back, Nokia.

Yeah, this problem needs to be addressed before their new phones come out and this phone is put to the backburner.

if this will be the only reason why you arent interested anymore think one more tim again. there are lot of apps which can help you with notification like lightnotificationplus or something. and probably nokia will solve this issue as soon as possible... it's a great phone

I have my E6 now since 3 days and was happy so far...however, today I missed several calls and messages because of this problem!

I'm coming from the E72 and am used to being noticed by a clearly visible blinking light...how on earth can this be "forgotten" by Nokia! It is a small but very critical problem, and unacceptable for a phone that claims to be business oriented. PLEASE FIX URGENTLY!

The notification light works, but as said before in another posting, it gets buried deep inside the D-pad, and cannot be noticed easily unless u are in a dark room.

Nokia should have used BLUE backlit for keypad instead of plain white, which would have solved this problem easily.  Also for the Silver color phone / keypad, the current plain white backlit is very ineffective. :-(

hmmm i was checking for e6 pictures.

it have too big middle button.

e72 has a 1mm round clear plastic ring which reflect lights

Not the keyboard light but the breathing notification light without the keyboard light.

Yeah, it would really be helpful if someone could post a picture of the E6's notification light. This is the only thing that's keeping me from buying the E6. The E71's notification light was weak too and was fixed in the E72, but now the E6 has the problem again.
