Hey guys, I recently bought a new nokia E7 and not long after I decided to try out the camera but the screen stays black, as in I can see the tools but the actual camera screen is black as if somethings in front of it, when I switch to the front camera (facing me) it works fine, just the back camera wont show anything, any ideas whats wrong ?

Bring the device back and ask for a new E7.

Hi, camera in my new E7 worked fine couple of weeks and then went black, like the previous message described. It may be relevant or not, but I downloaded about 10 apps from Nokia Ovi, and after that the main camera went blank.

hi....i too have suffered same prob twice...the official says thats due to connecting wire...whats the reason on your side????

my nokia e7 camera shows blank screen when i open main camera i can see the icons bt when i try to click cam button it keeps on processing image n makes the phne slow in work,i have to switch off thephone n when i switchoff it flashes,i dont know y this thing is happening,i tried to repair it bt they says cam is ok bt they r not able to find out the real issue behind it plz send me real answer behind it on my email id merchantush@gmail.com

Try this worked for me

First turn on the led light (slide the lock key and hold on)
After that open the camera, if don't work, close camera, and open the camera again, try that until the camera work

Finally turn of the light
