About A-GPS and network based GPS

Hello,

 

Do A-GPS or network based GPS have any data consumption? Will my mobile operator charge me for using them? I've heard that network based has no charges involved as it uses no GPRS or any data packets, but I'm not so sure...

From what I know, both will incur charges. The only way to use free GPS is to turn off all positioning methods except for Integrated GPS.

jdlf,

 

enable only GPS its free of charge and disable the rest. For A-GPS you will have to pay for data use.
