I am using Nokia Maps on an E65.
I had set the network setting to never. Occasionally the map would freeze during navigation. I changed the network setting to when needed and the freezing has stopped.
My question is: if I have the maps already installed, why and to whom is my phone talking to? I have checked the data usage and it is very small but what information is it sending and receiving?

PS I think the E65 is great and Nokia Maps equally so
