When I try to use Maps the phone searches forever for a GPS signal. If I open Google Maps there is a message immediately saying that there is 'no GPS found'. It was working fine a few days ago.
The same thing happened a few months back and I got it going again somehow, but can't remember what I did. I can't find anywhere to turn it off and on, so can't work out what has happened..
Any suggestions anyone?

You don't comment whether updated E7 to Anna but try Going to Menu > Settings > Application settings > Positioning > Positioning methods and temporarily disable all except "Integrated GPS" and now go outside away from tall buildings launch OVI Maps and wait for 20 - 30 minutes necessary for very first positional lock to be acquired.

Thank you so much - it worked instantly even in the house (tile roof - no metal).![]()
All were turned off!! No wonder it would not work!! - Which raises a couple more questions:
Which should normally be on? All except Bluetooth?
How could they have been turned off? I have not been in that menu set recently so it must have happened in some other way. I am beta testing the forthcoming SPB 3D Shell at present. so maybe I upset it during my tests somehow.
Haven't got Anna yet - Will it be sible to go straight to Belle?

Correct default values are all except Bluetooth GPS.
Interesting point perhaps you would need to install complete firmware via Ovi Suite or NSU instead of incremental FOTA but can't speculate.

Might suggest that you try installing LeGPSData2 from Ovi Store http://store.ovi.com/content/208256 and see if it reads from GPS chip in your E7 or still no response.
