My commute feature is currently supported in Finland. What exactly is happening when you open the application? Is it showing any error message or warning?
Just in case, you may check the data connection of the phone if it's enabled and the network connection is established. Make sure also that the Nokia Drive application is set to online mode. You can do that by going to Nokia Drive > Settings > Connection. In addition, my commute feature requires data connection from your network to be able to get traffic updates.
If it didn't help, try to uninstall the said application. Re-download it from the Marketplace and then restart your phone.
