@weedougie
Just bad timing releasing new map data upon 17/12/12 followed by Christmas/New Year, plus although being officially responded to upon Italian Nokia Discussions on 28/12/12 this post never crossed over to the English forum unfortunately. Although as Symbian in "Maintenance mode" all resources now concentrated upon Lumia Windows devices, so was probably accident waiting to happen.

Seems my posts have been removed because I dared to criticize Nokia support on this issue Just proves I was right as I have contacted customer support but had no reply

my Nokia 500
has a belle software
with Egypt Map + US Voice guidance
and it was working perfectly
a few days ago I have updated the map using the nokia suite. but now it is not working.
when I set a destination it gives me the following message:
"car navigation cannot start at this location"
and
"route not found"
for walking option
I have reinstalled the software, deleted the map and reinstalled it, and reset factory setting, but the same problem still exist and the same messages still received.
I look forward to your help,
thank you,

@alya331
It is the latest 00.02.47.103 map software causing the issue, after deleting maps you would need to manually install maps from 00.02.46.103 instead (16) folders 0 - 9 and a - f after decompressing .zip folder Egypt and also ClientIndex Asia/Base map if no mapping at all

@nervousmj
After deleting either E:\cities + .qf file (or F:\cities as appropriate) did you open Nokia Maps application to re-define necessary folder structure and get a prompt that no maps upon the device?

Decompress .zip which has (16) folders 0 - 9 and a - f which are destined to be dragged onto either E:\cities\diskcache or F:\cities\diskcache as appropriate accepting any prompts under Windows to overwrite/replace.

It has been fixed for now by Nokia disabling provision of 00.02.47.103 and reverting to previous series, although you need to delete either E:\cities or F:\cities + .qf file as appropriate and re-download previous 00.02.46.103 via Maploader or Nokia Suite. It has ben promised that notification will be posted upon forum once this issue resolved and latest 00.02.47.103 available again.
