Yesterday I performed hard reset to my device and installed "ovi_maps_installer_3.06_11wk23_b05_s60_5.0_com.sis" to get OVI maps working again and when i connected my nokia c5-03 to OVI suit to download map of my country for offline use, it didn't let me continue without updating current version of OVI maps.. So I updated ovi maps first and then downloaded maps for offline use..

All works well except routing, routing needs an internet connection for calculate route when i selected a destination, if there is no internet connection it gives an error " car navigation cannot start at this location" but when im connected to internet it works fine... but it did routing without an internet connection on old version(original) I had before hard reset.


Please help!!! whats wrong with ovi maps? anything wrong with my setting? or do i need a separate application for offline routing if so please give me download links for both ovi maps and other apps?  Please give me correct configuration instructions for offline routing..

Offline routing only works with 3.09.(95) maps app on Symbian^3 devices

Is that so? but once in this nokia forum, I saw routing also works offline...

Can I use ovi maps 3.09 on my device nokia c5-03? 

or anyway to route offline? if so download links..

There is some issues with the latest update.. Thats what it seems from many posts on this subject .. Hope Nokia comes out with the Bug fix soon ..

..and you can't use v 3.09 on your device..

To avoid confusion you need to distinguish between Ovi Maps v3.01, 3.03 & 3.04 using map series 00.01.29.100 data and Nokia Maps v3.06, 3.08 & 3.09 using map series 00 02.47.103 data!

I have exactly the same problem, after downloading a new UK map only - no hard resets, nothing.  I'm wondering if they're trying to force us to go to "Here".n  It's rewally annoying, as I was trying to navigate in Wales, where there wasn't a signal when setting the route - I had to resort to a 7 year-old Navman that I had in the boot.

Until now, I've been really inpressed with the C5 and was going to get a Lumia.  I'll be off to Android after this.

Just to clarify that you are using C5-03 with Nokia Maps v3.06 and as usual upon updating from map series 0.2.46.103 to 0.2.47.103 you lost ability to navigate without application being "Online", for which remedy would be to manually install the previous 0.2.46.103 data in it's place until Nokia fix this issue?

Where on earth do I find the old data?  I've simply been updating the maps using home wi-fi and the maps update function on the phone.  I see no way of reverting.  Do I have tp load Nokia's software on my P?.  I'm loathe to do this as, lets face it, they can't even write software for their own operating system properly. 

I raised a ticket on Nokia support and got the automated response (service request 1-13593349087) on the 9th and haven't had a response.  Interesting to see their attitude to customer care.

Thank you for your advice so far.  How did you stop being a Symbian specialist on 31/1?  I've been putting off doing this in the hope that Nokia would have sorted it out themselves, but (not surprisingly) they haven't.

Looking through the link that you provide, I can't download maps from http://discussions.nokia.com/t5/Maps-Navigation-and-GPS/00-02-46-103-Map-Series-for-Nokia-Maps-from-..., which is where the page that you mentioned takes me.  I also get a 404 error from http://discussions.nokia.com/t5/Maps-Navigation-and-GPS/newest-Nokia-Ovi-Maps-0-1-25-114-manual-down...

I've googled them, but the links that I found take you back to the first page.  I only require UK maps - do you have any suggestions?
