I own an E7 and initially it had an option to select Walk for GPS navigation. I found it useful as it gave a short route to my destination.
Now that option has been taken away from Maps and we only have a Drive option and normal Maps which doesnt give route suggestions.
The Drive gives only routes where cars are allowed and hence cutting across through a one-way is not given. This is not useful when one is walking.
Please let me know how the WALK option can be restored to my phone.

@krishgetz
If you go to "Favourites" and longpress on any one you will get a further set of options of which "Walk" is one.

@krishgetz
Sorry answer was not as clear as it might be, use "Search" and longpress on any entry to reveal "Walk to"
This is using v3.08_11wk_47_b04 upon E7.

So basically, we have to add a place into our favourites to have a walk to option.
No you do not.
In Maps just tap on your destination and its address will pop up in the bar at the top of the screen. Tap on the address and select "Navigate" and then "Walk" or "Drive" according to whichever you want to do.
Very easy.
