How can I add Surfer Dude to my voice guidance list??

If I download it, it still won't show in list with phone icon next to it. Anyone???

What version of Ovi Maps are you using as can't utilise "Surfer Dude" in v3.06 & later?

Just checked and as farby points out is available under v3.06:

Suggest that you go to E:cities\diskcache\voices and delete voice_catalog.ENG (or transfer to safe spot if worried) as it will then be re-created.

Did wonder whether you previously downloaded voice via Nokia/Ovi Suite rather than directly via Ovi Maps application upon device.

deleted voice list and downloaded v3.06 directly from ovi maps.. makes no difference, surfer still not in guidance list

i found it out myself.

maps/settings/ voice guidance/ search bar; typed in surfer dude/ phone asked to download/ English_Surfer Dude now in voice guidance list.

it took two minutes, guru's!! maybe you can help others with my help

Just Curious...Was it that you were looking under 'S' (Surfer Dude) and not under 'E' (English - Surfer Dude) initially ?

no.. was re-installing maps versio n 3.06 and deleting voice files and looking for updates on beta and ovi suite..

all i needed to do was type in search bar: 'surfer' and the device prompted Surfer Dude and asked to download it..

i would not have had to talk as much as the surfer if i got the right help

Same problems with MAPS 3.09....... "Surfer Dude English" can be downloaded via Nokia Suite (files are added to mobile device) but it is not possible to select "Surfer Dude" in settings/voice guidance/ as "Surfer Dude" is not listed.

I really hope there is a simple solution ...... Surfer Dude has guided me over thousand's of miles around Europe and it just would not be the same without him. Come on Nokia Sort it out DUDES !
