After installing Ovi Maps 3.06 I can't select a location anymore for my contacts.

In the previous version it worked great, but now when I want to select the location it shows a loading screen and my GPS goes active.

But then it shutsdown the loading screen and I'm back inside contacts instead of Ovi Maps.

Please fix this bug!

Works fine on mine.  Two things you can try.

1. A new version of V3.06 was released on the 2nd of December. It is dates wk48. If your version is older then you should try downloading and installing this latest version.

2. After updating to v3.06, all the map data you previously had on the phone would have been deleted. Have you downloaded new map data?

how does one downlaod new maps? i just uploaded the new version which has wiped the phone clean map wise. how would i get the new map?

Open the Maps application on Phone..Spanner Icon-->Internet-->Online..-->Back-->Menu-->Map and let a few KB of data get downloaded ( say for about 30 secs..).. Come out from the Maps application..

Now connect your phone to PC and open OVI Suite.. Goto Maps in the OVI Suite and wait till the connection with the Maps server is established.. Now select the Maps and the Voice Navigation files you want and select Download.. Wait till the data is downloaded and installed in the phone.. Once finished, click on the Phone Icon in the Bottom - Left window and it should display the list of files now installed in the phone..

If any error at the start and you will have to delete the 'Cities' folder and the 'qf' file from the phone (browse for these in Windows explorer when the phone is connected to PC..)
