hello ![]()
i don't have internet at home and i dont use internet from my phone (the legendary n8
), however i use navigation alot on my phone but without internet, only offline navbigation so what i do is download all the maps i need to my n8 and just navi away....
however i sometimes reset the phone and the maps get deleted so i have to cconnect the phone to a pc with internet to download them again from nokia suite and thats annoying.
is there a way to backup those map to my pc (no internet) and just transfer them using nokia suite? or anything similar like maybe making use of the usb on the go and backup the maps to a flash drive?
thanks ![]()

@speedownsu
Presumably you are storing map data upon mass memory rather than memory card (although this is simple way of not losing them)? Incidentally they can only be read from Mass memory or card memory which is user defined in Nokia Maps > Settings although nothing to stop you copying this directory to flash drive for restoration purposes.
Suggest that you enable "Show hidden & System files upon PC and copy E:\cities somewhere safe and then only needs to be transferred back when required!

Voice files are found in E:\cities\diskcache\voices so will be included within "cities" directory.
