Hi, if I want to use my GPS/SAT Nav, on my N95, and have no charges apart from the Nav license......should I have AGPS and Network Based turned off??

What is the difference between AGPS and Network based anyway? Does AGPS not use network?

Hi needtogetfit,

The A-GPS method does use an internet connection (you must determine the access point) and thus you will have to pay data tranmission costs if for an operator as access point.
A-GPS is a network service.

For a very fast (thoug not very accurate) position fix you must use network based method. This is used to get information from the cellular network.

In N95 you may choose these from
Tools - Settings - General - Positioning - Positioning methods
