there are no roads navigation maps of israel. i bought an E71 for me to have both business capabilities & navigation by gps capabilities. as you know - i got just one of the two. for some odd reason, nokia don't have any problem selling us  phones, but they have a big problem to give us full servise, like they give to customers all around the world. so, if it is a pollicy by nokia world group - it sucks!! but if this is just the doing of "nokia - israel", please, someone, let me know so i could adress them with the problem.

Currently the Ovi Maps for the whole world is not yet completely ported from NavTeq systems into Ovi Maps compatible mode, however there are other mapping systems which do have Israel Maps for your phone, like TomTom and Garmin. AFAIK they have Israel maps.

thanks, but i'm looking for the free OVI maps of israel for the E71. i have tried GARMIN. could install it but couldn't find any maps of isreal to run on it. there are number of other options in isreal for navigation maps of israel for the e71, but they all costs money.

AGAIN, i think it's a shame that nokia doesn't treat the israeli customers as thay treat customers of other countries.

Sadly, i belive it has to do something, either with politics or deals with the local cell phone companies.

I dont think politics since there are other companies which provide GPS for israel. Bur then did Navteq had complete maps of israel prior to being bought by Nokia? even so it will take time to port the data into a compatible format for Ovi.
