Lumia 800 - An operator customization generated issue?

I have a Lumia 800 bought from amazon.co.uk last month, ordered from amazon itself, a non locked retail product. Still it has written in the Operator information: CV GB SW ID222 v05 (running v. 7.5). We have another Lumia 800 that is bought from cdon.com (shipped from Sweden, same day as the black from amazon) and has a Swedish Operator customisation setting.

My UK variant has a problem with text input. When the software offers words while typing SMS, and I do not choose any of the alternatives but just continue writing (in Finnish, with language setting set to Finnish), the software over rides what I do and makes corrections that can be disabled only by disabling whole spelling etc. The other unit with same WP 7.5 version and swedish localisation does not do this. In the UK device if I write "Ok" the spelling changes it to "On" and does other "corrections" like this, without me choosing to accept the change.

Since the devices have no other difference that I would know of, I assume that the problem has to do with localization and so I feel I would need a Finnish localization for both devices. Can that be done? Will it fix this issue?

Please use plain text.

hi mate,

on WP 7.5, 7.8 it is not possible to change / install additional languages unfortunately, but you can always liaise with your local nokia Care and see what they may be able to do for you: http://nokia.com/support
