I have sent my Nokia Lumia 710 twice now to get it repaired, but the same issue occurs, whereby the singal on my phone has '⃠' where the singal bar is, my O2 sim card works.

Any ideas as to what I can do fix this problem?

Try to use another SIM card and see if it still doing the same thing. You can also try to remove and reinsert the SIM.

Who's your current operator? Since you have said that O2 SIM card works on the phone. It might be a network issue with your operator. Can you provide a screen shot?
