Is there anything like to reset nokia 2700's security code , by chance if it get forgotten .. If the post sounds illegal , I apologise for that !!

If in case the changed security code is forgotten there is nothing an user can do to reset it back to the default one(12345) than taking it to a Nokia care point

There is no way to retrieve your security code if you have forgotten it.

Its down to the fact that is a security function, and would be useless if anyone could simply override it.

The only people who can reset this for you would be a Nokia Care point.

You will have to pay for the service, as it is not a warranty fault.

You will also need a proof of purchase to prove that the phone is not stolen.

It clearly says..the default code is 12345 .. If you have changed it and now do not remember... Visit Nokia Care... No one else can help..

It serves to prevent somebody getting hold of your phone and doing certain things without your permission, such as restoring factory settingsd, deleting call logs etc. You can also activate a security lock which will shut down the phone's keypad after a period of inacitivity, you need the security code to unlock the keypad if this is in use.

The only thing to reset your security code after you forget is to take your mobile to nokia care point or the retailer who deals with the mobile flashing things.

Consider this, everyone: If anybody on an internet forum could tell  you how to get aroud the security code on a phone, it wouldn't be very secure would it?

It is for this reason that Nokia's only approved way to reset the code is via a Nokia service point - you need to prove that you are the rightful owner of the phone before it will be done.

Nice,
Security code can be mainly used for setting up security keyguard.
Instead of normal keypad lock, you can use security keyguard. It is found in the phone settings of settings.
If you turn on this feature, it asks for security code, if you enter this default code 12345, the security keyguard of your phone will be enabled.
After locking keypad and if you try to unlock the keypad it asks for security code.
So no one except you can unlock the keypad.
But everyone will be knowing that the default code as 12345.
So it would be wise to change this code to any other code you like and cannot forget.
You can change the code in settings-security-access code- change security code.
It will again asks for old password 12345 and you asks you to enter new one two times.
If you forgot the new code which you have set then you should goto Nokia care center for repair. As no one can find the code except Nokia Care.

ONLY Nokia Care can reset it to the Default 12345. Proof of ownership (Bill / Invoice) may be requred..
