I have just bought a nokia asha 311 phone. It locks and unlocks using lock key. It is fine.
But when the phone is kept locked, it can be also unlocked using End key. Why?
Is it a problem with my phone?
Any body please provide me information.
Thanks in advance.
Welcome to Nokia Support Discussions!
This is normal, Nokia Asha 311 can be unlocked either by pressing the screen lock button or the power/end call button. If you want to have additional security, you can set your phone to prompt for a security code every time you unlock it. To do this, just go to settings > phone > security keyguard and input the security code you would like to use (remember to use 5 digits). Please note that the security code will be the one asked if you ever reset your phone or update it.
Hope this helps!
Does Nokia Asha 311 has automatic screen lock option. I searched for settings but I couldn't find any such option. And what will be the default security pin ?
IF anyone forget there security key and wont use 12345 key then what can he do?
Then you have to get it reset thru' Nokia Care. Proof of ownership (bill / Invoice) may be asked ...
Default code is 12345. If that or any other code is not accepted, you need to visit Nokia Care along with a proof of ownership (Bill / Invoice)
plz NOKIA fix this 2 prblm in asha 311....there have no record option in redio and no option for set a picture on home screen...
My Nokia asha 311 handset has been locked by wrong entries of security code !
Now even if i enter the right code it won't unlock .
What should i do now to unlock it again ! ???
Remove the Battery for a couple of minutes then insert it back..but do not switch the phone ON for some 30 minutes.. After that you may switch it ON and try entering the CORRECT code.
If this doesn't work you need to follow adrianhughes 's suggestion ..

As device will be covered by warranty take to nearest Nokia Care facility:http://nokia.com/support
