I am told Ipad chargers don't work well with other devices and wont charge them properly. On a separate note the 2A charger will not damage the phone because max charging current is controlled by the phone itself. Just have to make sure the voltage match. I find my 2A chargers are faster but not necessarily twice as fast.

As long as the charger is 5volts it will charge it properly and bee safe to use. I have used iPad chargers with Lumia's without any issue at all.
