Whenever i try to go online on facebook on my nokia N9 it doesnt allow me to go online. It says the account is in use when nobody is using the account at that time. Please help.

Hi Rucky33,

Are you sure that you have logged out of your facebook account on all other devices and that you have not stayed signed in on any browsers or apps on other devices?

Are you trying to log in using the device browser or through the application? If it is through the application, could you please try and uninstall the app and reinstall it. Resync your facebook account once you have successfully reinstalled it.

You should be able to receive further support specific to the facebook applications here.

Im using the application itself. The whole app works just fine except it doesnt let me go online. It just says the account is in use. And yeah i have logged out of every facebook account on other devices as well

i have the same problem ... i cant connect to facebook chat . it says account in use...

but the app and the rss facebook feed works perfectly. 

all my synced accounts with facebook were also gone 

I deledet all my internet connections and  accounts . i even restored my n9 to factory settings.  still the same.

any solution ?

I found out what caused the problem with my n9. I tried to share a picture through Epic Fail app (from Ovi store). The sharing wen't ok, but the picture didn't actually get shared in my timeline.

After this the facebook online status has been stuck in "account in use" everytime I try to go online. The app works otherwise normally.

Haven't found yet the solution how to get the facebook-sync work again. Something to do with Nokia servers and sharing maybe.

Could the moderator possibly forward this to someone who is knows about how the N9 facebook app works? Does it use some kind of Nokia server in connecting to Facebook? Maybe of this server could make some kind of reset to all facebook-accounts connected through it could make these pending sharings go away.

I have tried my best.Deleted the facebook account from from N9 and tried again still the same error "account in use".Please help me.

Deleting the account won't do anything. I've tried my account on my friends phone and it too says "account in use", so the problem is not related to phone. This problem is not easily solved by user. I think Facebook or Nokia should address it, but it may not happen because as far as I know, Nokia doesn't support N9 anymore :\

I have the same problem.But once I tried with my friend's account, it has worked and no problem.So the problem is with my account.I am using the same mail account for every apps.Can any body help me.I tried with factory resettings also,but didn't work........
