Have you tried re-installing existing software using either standalone Nokia Software Updater or Flasher?http://nds1.nokia.com/files/support/...erSetup_EN.

I tried all suggestions when I had this issue last year and nothing solved it. Took it to Nokia Care, after 3 weeks they gave up and sent me a replacement N9 handset. No problems since then, touch wood.

Hi, had the same problem with my N9. There is a conflict between the camera and the GPS application.Solution: reset to factory settings-make sure your GPS is turned on- open the camera app- you will be asked if you want to use geotagging and face recognition, choose yes for both of them- now your camera should work.
