Experiencing "camera not responding error" in my n9. Have tried enabling developer mode and following the steps found online to solve this problem. The phone rebooted after keying in " reboot -u" but the problem with the camera remained. Any other suggestion?

Have you tried re-installing existing software using either standalone Nokia Software Updater or Flasher?http://nds1.nokia.com/files/support/...erSetup_EN.exe

Software is up to date according to Nokia suite but proceeded to reinstall anyway-- same error is experienced with the camera.

I have no way of changing the gps settings of the camera (and i can't check what the current settings are) since I can't turn the camera on but have tried to turn the camera on with the gps settings of the phone on (then off) hoping that one of them will match the camera settings and solve the problem. No such luck. I really hope that there's a solution because it's a great camera with a great lens.

I tried all suggestions when I had this issue last year and nothing solved it. Took it to Nokia Care, after 3 weeks they gave up and sent me a replacement N9 handset. No problems since then, touch wood.

Hi, had the same problem with my N9. There is a conflict between the camera and the GPS application.Solution: reset to factory settings-make sure your GPS is turned on- open the camera app- you will be asked if you want to use geotagging and face recognition, choose yes for both of them- now your camera should work.
