Folders in n900

Heya guys im a new user.

I have a couple of problems, but i'd like to deal with them one at a time.

When I go to the File Manager, I am not able to view files that I have created?
For example, I used Ovi to import some pictures to the n900 but I couldnt find them..I went to the image viewer and it wasnt there..so I disconnected the cable and re-connected it but in Mass Storage Mode, and I dragged and dropped the pictures onto my Phone, creating a picture folder in the process..but I still cant find it :/
When I go to the File Manager it still states "no files"

Could someone help me with this issue please? :smileyhappy:

Thanks

Re: Folders in n900

transfer all your images in mass storage mode to either the images folder of the DCIM folder.

i use the DCIM folder myself.

see if that works for you.

Re: Folders in n900

you will need to flash your device.

you will need to flash your device using your pc....not your n900.

Re: Folders in n900

i think you m ean 64bit.

your best bet is to find another pc that is only a 32bit machine.

do you have any other pc or friends/reletives that will let you use thier pc?

Re: Folders in n900

i'm still confused about your problem and how it came to be :-s

can you open the x terminal on your phone and run

cd MyDocs
ls -a

and copy/paste the results here

Re: Folders in n900

it doesnt work..

When I load the Terminal I get this

- $ and then I can write what I want..but its only on one line..

"cd MyDocs
ls -a"

Writing the first line is no problem...but theres no way I can write the second without hitting enter and therefore processing what I wrote..
If that was how it was meant to be written in..then I got "not found"

Unless ive missed something?

Re: Folders in n900

if you only have a win 7 64bit.

try looking here to flash:   Updating/Flashing the firmware on n900

and you will want to be sure to look at the 5 different options for getting it to work on win7 64bit.  none are garanteed...but at least you can try.

win7 64bit workaround

Re: Folders in n900

I did that and it just kept saying "-sh: Is: not found" thats why I thought maybe I was entering it wrongly..but it seems that im not..so thats what it says..

Re: Folders in n900

are you copying the commands exactly?

it should look like this

BusyBox v1.10.2 (Debian 3:1.10.2.legal-1osso30+0m5) built-in shell (ash)
Enter 'help' for a list of built-in commands.

~ $ cd MyDocs
~/MyDocs $

~/MyDocs $ ls -a
.
..
.VolumeIcon.icns
._
.a
.apt-archive-cache
.cutetube
.documents
.images
.map_tile_cache
.mediabox

the red text is what i typed and the bottom example will have loads more, i just didnmt copy it all
