Ok, you'll need a network connection for this bit.. So maybe have the browser open.. Wifi or 3G is fine

Open up the terminal and run this command

sh    submit.sh    debug.tgz

Then enter your name when prompted

Ok, the upload didn't work

you really really need an internet connection to do this!

If you have wifi (or 3G) it needs to be connected.. so leave the web browser open, may be at google's search page or some thing like that..

let's start from scratch

Lets get back to this fix:

On your phone open this link in the browser:

http://chris.intrepid.cx/n900/getfix.html

you'll see a text box with a line of code..

Tap into that box (but don't edit it) then press CTRL + A on your keyboard to select it all

Then press CTRL + C to copy it..

Now, open a terminal, tap the top of the screen where you'll see the button menu appear.. press paste

then  press enter on the keyboard..

This will download via the internet the bits you need..

Now.. enter this command

sh   fixroot.sh   debug

Enter your nokia forum name and press enter.. then wait for the debug to finish..

ah.. ok.. that's usually a good sign.. I can't see that your phone even tried to upload, though.. from the logs

Try the steps in my above post though and we'll work through, latest version of the scripts and everything.. it should work.. I've tested it on my phone and it works.. but it does require a net connection to be active.. I'll keep looking for more info

then scans file system....   uber...simply simple, exotic uber!     ....GEEK!  just as a side note,this is exactly why people shouldnt tick off geeks...lmao.  and, you cannot do this with a closed souce device.

blah it. I'm going to wrap up ALL my scripts into one "debug.sh"

That cut and paste feature downloads three so far.. fixroot (which fixes a corrupt emmc), debug.sh which is what you're running and "submit.sh" which allows any file to be uploaded to my web server for debug purposes..

I'm going to wrap this and all the other scripts into one version... This is stuff you just can't do with any other phone..

However, needs more menus!

the important thing with those scripts is that they use only the minimal tools on the phone.. so even if the phone is completely wrecked, it has a good chance of running! About the most exotic thing it uses is openssl!
