btw im defo going to take it back..the memory is shocking on here..
Apparently I only have 2GB memory when in reality I should have 32GB?..
Maybe it has something to do with the corruption of the memory, but its very annoying..
See I told you
The phone is extremely messed up, im going to try and take the thing back!
And yeah, I even ran the fixroot debug again but it still didnt work...
I didnt understand your last post?
i'll be able to do that in 2 weeks!..so i'll let you know how it goes..
I hope things will be fine and i'll be able to take it back..
Thanks for the help..you guys are amazing!
sadly this particular handset is not so amazing (the n900 in general is however!)
Do you not have an internet connection where are now? Where exactly are you? hotel?
you can try this
Download and install the "rootsh" package from app manager
turn off the phone
turn it back on
Open a terminal
sh fixroot.sh format
answer yes to proceed.. and wait for it to finish.. let me know if you see any errors
sh fixroot.sh restore
ok so I took back the phone and they somehow managed to unlock the block on the memory which helps a LOT.
Now I have a question, is it right that I can only use around 4GB from the 27GB for apps?
Seems that everything else is for videos, music etc etc..then you only have 4GB for apps..seems a bit unfair to me..
