My N9 just notified me (Finnish version) that a major update was available along with several application updates.

If your doesn't notify you go into the manage applications menu and check for update from there.

As expected this update is PR1.1. Things i've noticed so far:

Swype input option

Music controls on homescreen

New blue SMS indicator at top of screen

Charging indicator on lock screen

Built in picture uploading and location tagging in twitter.

After lock button (or double tap) has been pressed you can swipe in any direction to unlock.

Faster, smoother performance.

Probably plenty more that I haven't noticed yet.

Calculator looks the same to me. The facebook app was updated, not sure what has changed on it as i've only noticed a couple of cosmetic changes so far. I'm not a big facebook user though.

So far it looks like the update is only available over the air. A fast data or wi-fi connection is needed.

To force a check:
Settings > Applications > Manage Applications > Update arrow button, bottom right > Refresh button , top right.

Not spotted anything official yet but Skyee has posted a few details here:

As with all Nokia updates it's a case of waiting and checking. Sadly not all countries get updates at the same time.

I got my on ebay, through the information that i could get, it is a Australia version, any good news from there? i even check my app version, twitter as an example, still at 1.0.13 version, don`t even has any update as well. it sucks.

Unfortunately it seems that while it might have solved the twitter and nokia account issues, it hasn't solved it for calDAV.

After update software from Nokia store does not install anymore. Also, update of applications all faiiled.

I just had a notification for the update. I'm in Belgium. The download was very quick but installation is currently quite slow. I'm waiting for it to be done.

Looks good, I'm waiting for the update on my Norwegian operator branded phone. Usually the operators in Norway is pretty quick in approving after recieving it. Hopefull we are talking days at most

Seen a few more posts on other forums too. Just positive comments as I have spotted. Way to go Nokia!
