And now the Phone side of things will work!

This is very good news. Especially since I'm planning on buying a N900 soon, so it'll be grea to have the liberty of choosing the OS. Maemo, Android or maybe MeeGo?

main os is always maemo, secondary os is android or ubunto, third os is meego

man....even my wife, who is "NO-TECH"...and now has a maemo device..

she got a nookcolor for christmas and i nooted it (rooted it) and now it is a full blown android tablet/bookreader and multi-touch and email and market, etc.

her comment--if i had an iphone i would throw it, because i know it is more locked up then this android tablet and i want to hurl it through our tv because it is so dificult to use! lol.

this is because it has a capactive screen and browsing the internet with the links, etc are a pain in the ars with the mis-taps. she said that the n900 is so much easier and fluid to use and does what she wants it to do without closing or "finding" stuff.

i think it was cool to be able to use the android on the n900, but really, it just is not close to the maemo OS.
