Unless you like tinkering with Linux you will never get the best out of your N9 and unlike the N900 it has not developed the same cult following.

Actually, buying n9 is great.
Since most of my classmates are using samsung and apple phones, I realize that using n9 is special.
Instead, in my opinon, n9 is better than samsung phone.
I got a cyan n9 and a got Samsung galaxy note 10.1.
For my 10.1, I found that there were lots of problems like the battery is running out very fast, especially when I was watching clips and listening to music...
For my n9, its battery is better than that of my 10.1, even thorugh its capacity of battery is a quarter of that of 10.1(~1500mAh)
Dont worry about the apps of n9,as there is a wide variety of apps offerred in the nokia store, like ScreenShot Mee and FileBox....
Moreover, there are some apps you can download on the Net, like Wazapp and so on....
I think if u wanna a durable phone, nokia n9 is no.1 priorty....
For my opinion, the weakness of n9 is that nokia doesn't pretty focus on its development....
In my city, n9 is rare to buy....my n9 is bought from a friend of my dad....Anyway, n9 is good for everyone, even a little child or an elderly.
It is durable, functional, useful than other phones.
I could not agree more. I have been a Nokia client all my life, and even "converted" a few BB clients to get a Nokia.
Well then I though of treating myself to a N9... what a misserable choice.
The N9 is not a Nokia at all, nothing works like Nokia, and to top it all there is no Whatsapp software that can be installed on it. Tried to install Wazzap with no success. Tried XMS, but it has limited capabilities.
I will defintely NOT get a Nokia again. This is a shocker of a Nokia, and according to me this might break the camel's back...
