I would like if possible to have more than 1 calendar available from the apps page. It would be very handy to have my personal and work calendar both available with one press rather than having to activate one or the other through settings.

You can run multiple calendars at the same time. 

-You can create calendars using the three lines on the far right side on the bottom panel of the calendar. 

-Press the manage calendars icon, you can create another calendar here.

You can then go to your calendar and add in events the usual way, however you should press the small down arrow just above the 'Notes' section, to specify which calendar you wish to add it into.

I understand that and have created the extra calendar

I want. And found and saw and used the arrow, thanks for that bit of info. If I can be picky the arrow could be a little larger (some people are never satisfied). It would still be useful to have both clendars display on the apps page. Would save time and make it easier. I do understand it may be a tricky programming option.  Still I do really like my N9, top phone and MeeGo seems a top bit of software.
