Hey there. I have had my N900 since it came out, love it. But in the last few days it will not connect to the cellular network. I even went and got a new SIM card, and same problem. Everything else works fine on it, even Wifi works. If anyone has had this problem, please let me know.
This is the message i get at startup.
"All Telephony functions, including emergency calls, are disabled due to a communication error. To recover, you might have to reboot the device. "
In the meantime i am going back to using my E90.
Thanks ahead of time for any comments.

I've been having the same issue. I've had my N900 for about 3 years and recently, it stopped connecting. I was told to get a new SIM card but it's the same outcome. It seems Tmobile did something with their network and this device cannot connect anymore.
The issue is with the data connection only. I can make and receive calls fine.

@leones
If you are on T-Mobile UK you would probably have received new service settings which after rebooting device should then show EE instead of T-Mobile.
Have you checked values in Settings > Internet connections > Connections > T-mobile > Edit?

I have somewhat same problem with my N900. It won't connect to network at times. Especially when i keep the phone inside my pant pocket...
Solution: The problem is with the poor hardware. What you can do is... remove the battery, fold small paper layer and attaché it to the battery part that is facing the SIM (The folded paper should sit exactly on the SIM). fix the battery back n switch ur phone on... it will get connected.
Nokia Service Center: I went to Nokia service center with the above problem for 4 times to get it repaired n they just return back the handset saying its fixed. I have to give credit to the servicing center for being pathetic in handling customers and for poor diagnosing the problem. Not only they did not fix my problem, they were rude to me as well. I will not buy another Nokia Phone in my life n would never recommend one to my friends...
Thank You Nokia for opening my eyes.
