I'm aware it takes time before it passes through operator before it gets released. The problem is that I can't even update to the old PR 1.1 and stuck with 1.0. How can I be sure the 1.2 will come if the 1.1 never came?

Hi,

My N9 is an unlocked 64GB version and I did not get the PR1.2 update yet. The variant / product code is 059M1L6.

Since the phone wasn't bought at some operator shop neither is carrier-locked, I don't understand why my phone is apparently a "country variant".

When I bought I was expecting it to be some sort of a "vanilla"/standard unlocked device that got the updates straight away from Nokia.

Who's responsible to "approve" the update for my device and why is it taking so long?

if you take your sim card out, there is a code on the back of the tray. it will look something like 059j239

what is it and i will let you know if a pr1.2 has been released for the code.

is still 20.2011.40.4 (pr1.1)

That is a carrier device, so it may be up to the carrier to approve the update if they actually test it to thier network first.

so, taking it to the nokia repair center would be a waste of time if you did so.

you have that varient that received that partial update that the rest of us did not.

after instaled this update, maps cant be used anymore. only drive online if no any maps allready instaled on the phone.
