Hello,

My cell switched off on its own and was not restarting at all . I gave to nokia Service Centre and they have returned it saying it is beyond repairable as it seems due to short circuit it is not working and will never work again. Is there any solution or i really need to throw away my piece.

If i try to charge the notification continuously blinks yellow.

see if you can get another battery to try and see if that is the issue.

if nokia said its short circuited, may be....but again, i would try another battery if u can.

on the flip side, it may be an issue with the power management. have you tried flashing the device?

When you say blinks yellow, do you mean

a slow throbbing glow or quick flashes of light?

Try plugging it into a PC via the USB cable..

What does the display do? Does it show the Nokia logo?

Hello,

It blinks yellow as it used to be when charging. The phone gets fully charged with Green light coming after being charged . It does displays NOKIA for short time , the 5 Dots come they blink  and then the pjhone just swith off.

You could try enabling R&D mode, see if the device starts

This requires the use of the flasher tool (it won't flash your device, or lose any of your data if you enable R&D mode)

1) Open this URL on your PC:
http://tablets-dev.nokia.com/maemo-dev-env-downloads.php

2) Download this file:
maemo_flasher-3.5_2.5.2.2.exe

3) Open and install this file

4) Start run cmd

in the window that opens, type this:
cd %ProgramFiles%\maemo\flasher-3.5\
flasher-3.5 --enable-rd

5) remove the battery of your N900

6) put battery back in

7) open keyboard on N900 and press and hold the U button down

8) Plug into PC via USB cable

Wait for flasher to enable R&D mode..

unplug USB cable and try powering on

Hello Good morning,

I tried what you had suggested . After step no 4  where you have provided the path

( cd %ProgramFiles%\maemo\flasher-3.5\flasher-3.5 --enable-rd )  if i type that  the message comes the path is not correct.

Requesting you kindly check the given path nd send me correct  commands /  path .

That's not one command, that's two commands..
First command is CD
the second command is FLASHER-3.5
