[Theme] Cyan75

NOTE:  While this does not void a warranty, if you are not familiar or comfortable with using terminal or flashing (just in case), you may be best to just looky-loo here.  Anything released here is tested and does not "break" the device.  Remember, anything you do is at your own risk of having to flash.

Side note: To those of you who were using and modding your n900's....GAME ON!

Ok, so after the release, with all the fixes and pr1.2 working smoother, some of the other mods were not needed.  I have started building a new theme from scratch!

The previous theme was built off of F2thaK's F.D.B Theme and he did a great job on it!

This new theme is going to first be with Cyan for all those that have a Black or Cyan device, and I will be adding some of my own mods to the theme that are basic.

This is the first release, and since it is PR1.2, and this is my own rendition, it will be called Cyan75 v2.0.

There is still much work to be had on this, but it should be a good start for anyone that wants to try it. I have tested this and it works fine on my device.

***BE SURE TO MAKE A BACKUP FIRST, JUST IN CASE***

It would be great to keep this thread going during the evolution of the theme as any help in knowing what is missing or other ideas to incorporate into it are welcome.  Even though I have two devices, sometimes after hours, it just gets hard to see what is the difference and missing.  Please be sure to post screen shots to help with what is missing or needs to be fixed.

I suggest that you use the Theme Changer as it makes it easier.  It is also included in the zip file to download along with some instructions on how to use it.

Personally I find lack of contrast makes it difficult to see which item selected upon clipboard:

Re: [Theme] Cyan75

Aspergerguy has pointed out there is an error in the .txt file that has the instructions.

everywhere it says "cyan75"  it should be "cyan"

please see the updated txt below.

that is odd.  when i change to blanco, it goes to normal...and then when i change to 2.1, my screen above is what i get...and you can see i also have it change the font too.

not sure why that is happening.  looks like you are not even getting the the correct header and footer either.

as you can see from my picture, the icons are still the same...that is on my task list for next update.

also, you see my time/date?  i can make that happen, but it breaks the drop-down menu for some reason, so i did not include it yet.  i may have to create a .sh file for installation of that stuff....though, aegis is not open!

Hi

Just to say after Cyberduck session upon Mac all good again and Average Idle Consumption back to 12mA. Here is screenshot of clipboard again:

Image and video hosting by TinyPic

Just to point out there is still a typo error in "instructions.docx" upon terminal third installation command:

cp -R /home/user/MyDocs/.themes/cyan-v2_1/booting.png /user/share/themes/blanco/meegotouch/images/system-services/

where second instance of user should be usr

May have overlooked them but aren't the latest icon-m-low-power-mode-twitter & facebook icons from PR1.2 missing in Cyan?

Re: [Theme] Cyan75

Ok...couldnt sleep, so here is another update to v2.2

there were some colors i was not happy with (still not totally) but they are better. I will continue to work on them. at least now i know where they are.

i have added some icons, and will be getting to the rest of the icons to make them "pop" more off the dark cyan color.

also, this update included a color fix for a 3rd party application, Cards With Me and the Ovi Store bottom toolbar.

Change log

v2.2
~~~~
STATUS BAR
-changed colors for easier notice of Signal Strength
Email
-Pressed color
Cards with me
-Bottom bar to Cyan
Ovi Store
-Bottom left corner to Cyan
Messeging
-Pressed color
Gerneral
-100's of color matching
-Default Application Icon to Cyan
Low Power Mode
-Added Twitter icons in Cyan
-Added Facebook icons in Cyan
Instructions
-Corrected "user" issue (thank you aspergerguy)
-Corrected file names so suggested commands would work (thank you aspergerguy)
Index
-Corrected version number so it would show correctly in Theme Changer
Shut Down Screen/Booting
-Replaced correct splash screen.
Download - Cyan75v2.2
Will get around to installing later, but error carried over in instructions.txt as not yet amended to cyan-v2_2 throughout, though should be obvious to anyone following developments here.
Re: [Theme] Cyan75
Just like to say many thanks for sharing this theme with the forum and for all your hard work!
Like the network strength icon with red > yellow > green at maximum and other users should appreciate that superusers such as Chris here are less likely to share their work in future if there is zero feedback as a result of their labours.
Looking forward to it!
Just a thought for Windows 7 users creating a new folder in the /home/user/MyDocs called ".themes" as issue creating folder that starts with a dot.
  1. From the folder above the parent for the new folder, shift-right click on the parent, choose "Open command prompt here".
  2. Type mkdir .cyan-v2_2 (enter)
  3. Close the command prompt
Re: [Theme] Cyan75
update,
guys if you have not already done so, download Apps For Meego and go to settings and enable testing mode.
if you need to, create an account, then go and download the new version of theme changer v0.0.2 which has a button for fixing the emoticons!
Yeah!
you no longer require a reboot or to use terminal to do so.
