I am so disappointed in Nokia . How can the Nokia N9 not support whatsapp. I wish i never bought this phone. Nokia use to be the best celluar phones for me but not anymore. So you know what people out there, sell these phones they of no use. Nokia  doesn't consider what the customer wants. When you buy the cellphones in the shops they don't even have cellpones that you can play around with, they have these dummies that you can only look at. Now i can't even return this phone, and i only have it for 15 days. nokia needs to be made aware of this that all Nokia N9 owners are upset about not being able to download it whatsapp!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Notwithstanding the fact that the Meego community is porting the app and it's coming soon, I think you're barking at the wrong tree. It's Whatsapp Inc. that you should be upset or disappointed about. They develop the app for all the platforms, and not the phone makers themselves. And for-god-knows-why, they decided to ditch Meego. Ask @Whatsapp on Twitter or something, maybe u'll get the answer.

Moreover, Nokia doesn't have the obligation to tell what cross-platform apps are available and not for its phones. If it starts doing so, then all of its time will be spent on answering questions on Instagram, Whatsapp and other apps alike.

I wish i had whatsapp but the simple fact that if whatsapp team doesn't give a damn about we over 10000 ppl that wants it then they don't deserve our respect and time to even try the app. ebuddy xms should be used as those guys been doing the app for all platforms,and cared about us the users.And here it is not about what meego has or not,it's a about being a cross platform app and you should keep your users happy cause it is not only meego users to keep in touch but other OS member that want to keep in touch with us,therfore that is totally disrespectfull to all users.

An app named Whazapp will be released on May 1, 2012 . This is an unofficial release and developed by the Meego community, and is the same as Whatsapp. So all of us who have been waiting for Whatsapp have something to look forward to.

I think I read about it on Nokia Conversations/Meego forum/some other mobile tech sites.
