after fsck

i can't see pictures when my n900 is connected to a pc after i have done this

sudo gainroot
umount /dev/mmcblk0p1
fsck -af /dev/mmcblk0p1
mount /dev/mmcblk0p1 /home/user/MyDocs

Have you re-booted your N900 several times since doing this?
