I follow the guideline from iCloud mail server information to setup email account, but every time i was trying to send an email, a pop-up message show : 'Can't connect to SMTP server :" smtp.mail.me.com" or it doesn't exist '

. Everyone can help me to configure out why? Thank you so much!

Hi,

I let the phone do it for me, setting it up through the Accounts App.

Your username is your iCloud EMail address.

Enter your passwaord and it fills in the rest for you.

If you would like to adjust your settings manually,

The incoming mail server is "mail.me.com" and the outgoing mail server is "smtp.me.com"

N9 imap mail sending does not work with .mac/.me (iCloud) mail. I have these settings (automatic and also manually set from Apple page).

Mails stays at outbox with smtp server error (lates N9 update)

SMTP (outgoing mail server) information:

• Server name: smtp.mail.me.com
• SSL Required: Yes
• Port: 587
• SMTP Authentication Required: Yes
• Username: example@me.com (use your @me.com address from your iCloud account)
• Password: Your iCloud password

Unfortunately it seems the N9 and iCloud are quite fussy. The only phone I've had in the last 6 months and I've had quite a few (SGS2, Sensation, Pre 3, Galaxy Nexus) that doesn't work fully with iCloud.

Neither when it does work, will it support push email, calendar and contact syncing.

I have reverted to having to send email from my gmail account on the device.

Another annoying thing is that it will often forget the iCloud password and go into a continuos loop asking for it over and over.
