Hi apittkdh,

Welcome to the Forum.

Did you try another SIM card in your N900?  If yes and if the problem persists, I would advise you to visit your local Nokia care to get the phone checked.

@apittkdh

This is one of the worst error messages to get unfortunately, occasionally placing very thin piece of card on top of SIM so it will press harder against contacts will gain a reprieve but in others you have now got yourself an "iPod"!

There is now a dire shortage of parts for this model which was assemled in Korea so omens are not good.
