Dear Mam/Sir

 

I have been using Nokia n900 for a long period of time. but before couple of months I have been facing this problem. one day i was using my mobile but again n again sim got deactivated automatically & it said restart it so i did but prob still there.  I cant make calls, receive calls even cant do something. now it is just a Ipod.. i can store music, photos & so on but calls..

 

so Kindly tell the way to get rid of this problem. plz repair it....

 

as you can see in this attachment of my phone snap.

 

the sim got rejected but still sim inside of the phone... showing no network.. plz do sth

Have you updated device recently as mention "phone updation" in title? Have you tried another SIM card?

 

This issue could be result of either a software issue or SIM card holder itself becoming detached from motherboard.

 

Can be worth re-flashing device software although be aware that talk.maemo.org having to relocate servers at the moment;http://discussions.nokia.com/t5/Maemo-and-MeeGo-Devices/N900-PR-1-3-dont-detect-sim-Card/m-p/824173/...

 

It may be worth trying the"packing trick" to improve contact of SIM to holder contacts and also press soldered joints down onto motherboard:http://talk.maemo.org/showthread.php?p=1147506 and http://talk.maemo.org/showthread.php?t=82583&page=6 and http://forums.internettablettalk.com/showthread.php?t=36447&page=12
