C6-00 email completely inoperative!

i've bought a brand new nokia C6-00 about two weeks ago and it had been functioning well with the odd memory problem, but since yesterday the email function has just completely stopped working - i can't connect, synchronise and send/receive emails and worst of all i can't even delete the email accounts and reset them! solutions will be very welcome as there is no real technical support available in Bangladesh for software issues! thanks in advance!

Hi hsahmed76,

 

Sorry to hear about the issue but welcome to the forum anyway! Try to login in Messaging - Email and check the settings.


If the settings are ok and you can't delete the mailbox, please create a backup with Nokia Suite. After this type in *#7780# followed by lock code (12345 by default). This is soft reset, no data will be lost, but it should delete the mailbox.

 

If it doesn't, please reinstall the phone software. The process is the same as when updating with Nokia Suite, but at the end select "Reinstall".

 

the last option is to do a hard reset bt typing in *#7370#. Phone memory will be wiped, so make sure you have a backup.

 

Please let me know if it's still not working and if you get any error messages or has the situation changed.
