I made the switch to straight talk unlimited plan with my E5 today. So, I activated it and I can make calls and SMS... cannot access wifi, web browser nor MMS. After being on the fone with customer for about an hour I still have no data. They sent me these input values but, I don't know where to put them (and neither do they):

Delete the current APN from your phone. Reboot your phone.

I never had another APN on my fone because I had AT&T prepaid and it was all handled by the SIM card.

You need to create an access point for internet (and MMS). On the E5 these can be found (and created) in MENU>Ctrl. panel>Settings>Connection>Destination>(Internet/Multimedia msg.)>Options and create a new access point

Yes, thank you. I tried the destinations and found that I could only enter 3 out of the 7 fields listed because my E5

does'nt show these fields so I cannot enter the MMSC, The MMS Proxy (that sounds important), Port #'s,...

So, you see... I don't know what else to do besides get back on the fone with ST and get dizzy'd by CS. Hope

someone here has the answer. I wonder if Nokia can help....

You need to create two accesspoint, one in Internet and one in Multimedia msgs. Obviously you drop the MMS bits to find the correct fields.

Internet;

APN Name:  Straight Talk

APN:            att.mvno

Proxy:          proxy.mvno.tracfone.com

Port:             80

MMS;

APN Name:  Straight Talk MMS

APN:            http://mmsc.cingular.com (could be you need to lose the http:// bit)

Proxy:          66.209.11.33

Port:            80

nice... When I get to destinations I choose "Internet", I have 19 access points, all of the WLAN...except the new straight talk one...I choose "straight talk " access point it reads( MY INPUTS ARE ITALICIZED) ::

like? I hate to admit this but, Symbian OS was/is kinda difficult to learn so, if you guys could kinda "baby teach" me a

For MMS try this:

Menu > Tools > Settings > Connection > Destinations

1. Add New. Say no to “Automatically check for available access points?”.
2. Choose “Packet Data”
3. Enter any name you like. Maybe “STMMS” ?
4. Choose “Multimedia msg.”
5. Now you need to go into “Internet” and find the access point you just defined.
6. Make the following changes:
   • Change “Access Point Name” to “att.mvno”.
   • User Name: None.
   • Prompt Password: No.
   • Authentication: Normal.
   • Use Access Point: Automatically.
7. Now you need to press Options > Advanced Settings.
8. Set the following options:
   • Network Type : IPv4
   • Phone IP Address : Automatic
   • DNS Address : Automatic
   • Proxy Server Address : 66.209.11.33
   • Proxy Port Number : 80
9. Exit.

THANK YOU asperguy and Kosh SUCCESS!!! On wi-fi and ST internet....cannot get MMS going .  

Every time I attempt to send an MMS it tells me "No valid access point defined" . It then asks if I would like to

define it now... I say yes, it then tells me I don't have anything in there. Should I just delete the MMS access point and

re-enter it and try again?...

Well, I took my advice and it does'nt work.. "No Access Point Defined" is my fone's favorite message now ha!

When you said "Success" presumably you have a Straight Talk network access point in Destinations > Internet which now functions?

You tried to create MMS access point which is set as Priority 1 in Destinations > Multimedia msg. folder and it is not recognised, is this correct?

i talked to Nokia yesterday and they had me do a reset. Does that mean my fone is locked again? My fone was unlocked when I bought it.
Now...straight Talk attempted to get my MMS to working but they couldn't. They informed me that my phone is Locked. And I am guessing that they mean I am SIM locked, as in I can't use anyone's network. Can someone please help me with(re )unlocking my E5 please?

Once device is SIM unlocked it remains that way irrespective of whether device reset or software re-installed, so StraightTalk just trying to fob you off!

ok after months of talking to nokia and straight talk i have done it mms. This is a long deel so bare with me for ther is many steps.
1 menu , control panel, setting wizard,define multimeadia.
2menu, control panel, settings, conections, destinations, multimeadia,at&t.mms.
3connection name (at&t mms)
data bearer (packet data)
accses point name (att.mvno)
user name (WAP@CINGULARGPRS.COM)
PROMP pASSWORD (NO)
PASSWORD (NO)
AUTHENTICATION (NORMAL)
HOMEPAGE (http://mmsc.cingular.com)
use accses point (autamaticly)
4 push options,advance settings.
Network type (ipv4)
phone ip address (automatic)
dns address (automatic)
proxy server address (66.209.11.33)
proxy port number (80)
5 back out to menu, menu, control panel, seting wizard, define multimeada, (very importent)( attmms conection already egsists do you want to reaplace it)(NO)
6 back out to menu, message buton, options , settings, multimeadia message,
7accses point in use (at&t mms)
back out and send a picture. If all is done right you have (one!) please dont let the trolls take this this is about 20 hours and 5 months of hell to find this.

if u dounload opera you will have to go into realplayers settings and select access point for videos.
