E5 - email not synchronzing

Hello

My email is no longer synchronizing...it is a Hotmail account, and is my primary email i.e. the one linked to Nokia messaging.

I installed all software updates, and tried removing the mail box and re-installing it...but it just shows me the emails I had when it last synchronized.

The strange thing is that if I install the same email account as a secondary one i.e. with manual updating, it works fine and synchronizes !

Can you help?

Re: E5 - email not synchronizing

I took the phone to my local Nokia Care Point. They re-installed the software, but the hotmail still did not sychronize. After more testing, they discovered that, it seems that Nokia's latest software update is the root of the problem. Now my hotmail account is partially synchronizing, in that I receive new emails on my mobile.

Otherwise, there is no synchronization, and my NCP was unable to resolve this.

For example, if I send an email from the mobile, it shows on PC/laptop, but not the other way round.

Emails I read from the mobile are not being shown as read on the PC, and vice-versa.

Also, the recycle bin has disappeared from the mobile, so anything I delete from my mobile vanishes.

My settings read as follows:

Inbox - Server: pop3.live.com, Security: On(SSL/TLS), Port:default

Outbox - Server: smptp.live.com, Security: On(StartTLS), Port:587

I cannot use the "contact us" function, as my country is not listed, and this is getting frustrating. I would like to bring this matter to Nokia's attention, as it seems there is some bug which needs to be fixed!

Re: E5 - email not synchronizing

I have had problems for the past week with my AOL account on my nokia E5.  I have removed, reinstalled, restored to factory settings, even done a "hard" reset (where it goes back to the same settings as if you just purchased it off the shelf in the store).  Every time I install the email, it synchs only partially, then one by one each email disappears till it says "no new messages" (when indeed I have LOTS of new messages when I log onto my PC).  I don't get it.  So frustrated!  If anyone gets any answers on this, PLEASE post!!

Re: E71- email not synchronizing

I have it on yahoo mail and its not syncing. All I get is 01/01/0000 date and then bunch of blank emails without names. It's been happening since last night.

Re: E71- email not synchronizing

I too am having the same problem, but on my Nokia E71.

Messaing was working fine, but today my emails are no longer sending/receiving. All I see are my last emails when synced. I have uninstalled and reinstalled, but still not working. Really need to fix this...!
